Some quick test shots taken all at F4 using a 25mm external VF with this combination to show character and vignetting. Only processing was Epson RAW conversion.

correction using 21mm standard in epson raw converter (there is unevenness of lighting in the original scene)

Is the vignetting far more severe when used indoors as opposed to outdoors and does varying the use of aperture affect help?

The outdoor photos above were both corrected.

I did not have time to test different apertures...but Sean Reid's tests showed that all lenses performed much better at f8 than f4. Vignetting is much more of a problem when photographing white walls. Outdoors, the problem is still quite noticeable before correction, but after correction is generally acceptable.

This lens is on my list of "eventually to get".... but I can't afford it yet.

FWIW Silkypix gives much better results than the Epson plug-in or standalone raw converters in terms of vignetting correction.
Did not try it with ZM 18/4 though but it is obvious with CV 21/4 P and Leica 21 and 28 wides.
