The 3 images above show meticulous detail but not-too-attractive bokeh. This helps explain lack of a thread expressing high admiration?

Desperate but not serious
It's a pretty good low light lens too

Which is strange - I remember seeing MUCH better bokeh from this lens in other examples. Maybe these are not very representative of the lens.?
I dont own one, but always considered getting one, in part because I like bokeh from it. Thats why I'm surprised to see such poor performance in above examples. Not sure what happened there.

They're stroking their 35 ZM Biogon 2.8, or at work paying off their 35 Summicron ASPH, or they're paying off the new M, walking around in the daytime with M9, hunting down a version 2 Summicron for that vintage look.......

Hard to sing its praises since I haven't used it. If someone wanted to send me theirs...

Haha. That's me. I have a ZM 2.8 and a Summilux ASPH. But anyone who's handed a ZM 35/2 on an M-mount body and can't use it to take great pictures oughtn't call himself a photographer. It's a marvelous lens, absolutely on par with any 35 that Leica or any other marque has ever shipped, and it's far better than most -- not least because it has tremendous color rendition, a very flat field, and the lowest geometric distortion of any 35 on the market.

It is a great lens - about as good a 35f2 that you will find. I have a lot of 35's and occasionally the size of the 35f2 Biogon makes go for something smaller - but make no mistake - it is a really good piece of glass.

This is my favorite lens.
It is on my M9 for 90% of the time.
Great color, almost no distortion, feels very solid in the hand, smooth focus etc.
Love it

I had a Biogon 2,0/35. If there is a better 35 f2 out there... I certainly don't need it. Now, I have Canon 35/2 ltm just because it's not perfect.
