I just have a phobia about buying from the FSU and really prefer to wait and buy from an RFF member. Anyone got one to get rid of. i need a backup with the 4

For the moment I really like mine ... sorry, I'm gonna keep it.
Why don't you try respected FSU resellers like DVDTechnik. I've got my 3M from them and it works perfectly (all shutter speeds are accurate, all is smooth). In this moment, I can see that they have one in sale for only 80$ (mine was quite more expensive, about 130$ I guess). Have a look at: http://www.dvdtechcameras.com/cameras/leica/58/58.htm
I also bought them a Kiev 4am for a friend and it was perfect. But I don't want to be of bad advice and I can understand your "phobia". Just have a thought about it.

That's a distinct possibility. They're a very comfortable shooter.

DVD seemed pretty reiliable to me (twice). It's been awhile back, but if I remember correctly, they got my items in the mail muy pronto. Otherwise, watch the Classifieds... though folks seem to hang onto the 3Ms...

Yuri at fedka.com has a Zorki 3M with an Excellent minus rating for $139.00 - He is in NY and his service lightning quick. This is a bit pricey for a 3M, but his cameras are checked out and he accepts returns.

I agree with above posting. Your Z4 will see very little use, once the 3M is in your hands..
