Help! Can't post to the gallery.

Hi Guys,

I posted on this topic about a week back but I think it's been eaten by the dreaded restore monster. ;)

To summarise I can't post any new pics to the gallery. I appear to have five posts queued awaiting upload, but this has been the case for over a week now.

I desperately want to rectify the situation. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Hmm... I seem to have this problem as well. I've never uploaded here previously and was trying to set up a top 10 (12) gallery (a great idea, BTW). Perhaps its not to be. (Perhaps you're all spared...)

We have been having a running discussion about the "little" blips we have noticed since the restore. I will add this to the list.

I checked the gallery que, and no new photos have made it in waiting for approval as there should not be any.

Thanks for looking into it Rover.
I've just checked my gallery queue and it seems the 5 images are still stick in there. :(
BTW my gallery problems started before the restore.

I wonder if I can get into your personal gallery que????

I will have to check later as I have to run off to get ready for work.

I think we have some gremlins in the works, very strange things happening.

If you get a chance check your settings in your User CP, I believe there is a separate one for the gallery. I wonder if there is a box there that needs to be clicked.

I've had a look in the CP but couldn't see anything relevant - I'll keep looking though.

Bob,

This happened to me - I simply pressed the "process list" button, and it came up with the last 5 pics I posted. I was then able to save those to my gallery in the nomal way. This cleared the que, but I did have to wait 24 hours before I could post any more.

Just a thought....

That cleared things for me. I'd tried that before, but without success. The trick is to push the "upload photos" button and not check the "skip upload and process image queue" (or similar) checkbox. Go figure. Seems b*rse ackwards to me, but what do I know :confused:

I was doing exactly the same thing!

When I pressed process WITHOUT pressing the box - it worked.

I had to be something obvious I suppose ;)

Cheers guys. Time to get some scanning done I think.

of course, the list of filenames changes every time, but you get the idea.

This is a real pain. Need to fix it, people.

Unless you already have, go into the upload screen. Do not check any boxes, fill in any file details. Change nothing. Just hit the "Upload" button - that is, try to upload nothing at all. And see what happens.

It worked for me so maybe, just maybe, it'll work for you.
