Hi admins,
Can't post to my gallery. The pictures are jpegs, well under 8 megs, and I succeeded in posting 3 to my gallery before I started getting the message that "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later".
I'm dragging the file from my file-manager (Dolphin - Linux) to the "Drag files here" dialog bock, and this worked the first three times, but no longer works now (I cxan post pictures in threads however). Browser is the current Firefox, all add blocking turned off and all scripting allowed. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I'm getting this same problem now. Trying to upload jpgs around 1Mb each. Mac Mini 2011, Firefox 115.9.1esr on IOS Sierra 10.12.6. I get the following message:
"An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later."
It was uploading fine a few days ago.

Last night I could upload a batch of photos, but tonight I've got the same error message when I try to upload. Intermittent problems like this are the pits to troubleshoot.
Edit: I tried to upload again at UTC13:55, this time from a 2023 M1 MacBook air. Same error message...
Edit2: I can upload pictures from an external HDD to a thread (never realised that was possible), but I still can't upload the pictures to my RFF Gallery.
Edit3: I still can't upload to my Gallery 23APR2024 UTC +0:16 (same error message)

Hi, just to say that I am getting the dreaded "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later." message today
I managed to get 2 images uploaded but no more. I'll give up for now and try again in a few days.

I‘ve given up for forever. Once all my images got deleted (during the change to the new software) I no longer upload pictures to the gallery.
I hope the rest has had a better experience and I hope for the best for you guys 👍

I tried again a few minutes ago. A single image uploaded OK. Then immediately after I tried to upload 2 images and got the same error message. Problem is unresolved.

This should be fixed.
Sounds like the total sizes of combined images to upload is exceeding the allotted limits.
I will look into this. But do me a favor, let me know the file size of the images selected for upload.

1200x750 pixels, under 400kb, single image causes this error.
Certainly not due to total file size.

I'm having the same problem. Yesterday it would only upload maybe one of five at a time, and reject the rest. Today it won't upload anything- just giving the error message above. Pix are only around 200kB each. Maybe no-one wants to see my lousy photos.

Here's something I've found, the forum happily accepts .PNG or .JPG images - always, but the gallery seems to not like .PNGs very much.
.PNG is my format of choice, but for the gallery, I convert all pics to .JPG and have had no problem uploading them since. I also keep the images fairly low in resolution - small enough to display fully in a 1920X1080 browser window.

Is anyone else still having this problem? I can only upload one photo at a time, and then it takes three or four attempts.
