Nice. These have the tacky sharp look that I associate with the 90/3.5. I've shot only b&w with mine, so these are nice to see. Did you scan these yourself, or did a lab do it for you?

Raypa, I did the scan with my flatbed scanner. In your experience, is the CV 90 a good lens for BW ?

Ciao
Franco

yeah, I think so. I don't shoot anywhere near as much as I would like with the 90 focal length, but I'm fond of the 85-90 length, so there's usually one in my bag.

:)

Great shots...

I've received mine last week and haven't had time to use it... ASAP I'll post but surely won't be as good as yours...

Shot with Nikon D1X four years ago in Osaka.
Don't have quick access to the exif info, but I do know that I shot RAW.

The image use see would have gone through the natural routine of converting the NEF file to jpg using Bibble followed by some mild curves, levels and USM adjustments.

Needless to say, I was very pleased with the way the 90 Apo Lanthar performed at close distance.

Other CV tele I owned in RF mount was the 75/2.5 Color-Heliar and the 80/2.8 Rollei Planar, which of coarse was a collaboration effort with Cosina.

Zen,
It seems that you had a lot of interesting gear . 2 questions -1. based on your signature you don't have Planar 80 - but if you have any shots with it - could you post some? And 2. what made you switch from all that to nikkor lenses?

Original Poster - great shots! Love those ships! What a great subject to photograph! If you have more shots isolating details, like Ropes shot, etc - please post here.
Thanks.

Hi Krosya, I have some shots of the Vespucci, but made by a digital Canon G7, and some details from other old sail boats, but not from tall ships, if you like I can post them, but I think this isn't the correct 3d

Ciao
