I am getting a CV 50 2 APO. Are you too?

Ok. Now let's see that lens attached to an M body. I would like to see how big/ small it is relative to the body. I'm thinking about ergonomics...

It seems to be a nice lens. But big and heavy. I compare it to my Cron V4 - CV 50 APO is almost double in weight. So - nope, already have a lot of 50mm lenses to play with.

the CV 50/2 APO actually a bit lighter than the Leica 50/2 APO
288 grams vs 293 grams

Ah, I looked up a wrong lens - 364gr is CV 50/2 APO for Sony... Still, visually quite a bit longer than Cron V4 and heavier, but sure - we are not comparing apples to apples here...

Im trying not to look merely at the technical qualities of the lens. By all measurable metrics it is the best 50mm I have now. I am still in the "new lens" phase of using it and I can't help but zoom in to 400% at f2 and thinking "wow." I haven't tested resolution on something like a landscape or industrial, but I know it will be impressive. It is a touch larger than my Lux v2 which is my favorite 50 for shooting people, but I can easily see this being a perfect general purpose lens. I'll likely compare it in more detail to my other lenses, but initial impression is quite good

It's about the same size as my Pentax 85/4.5. Both take 49mm filters and hood.

Have not had a chance to shoot with the lens outside- but fired of a couple of test shots. It is sharp. And it is priced much less than the Pentax lens was 50 years ago.

I'll probably pick up a full-frame mirrorless camera for the Pentax. There might be 40 of these lenses around still. It's rare.

I looked. See what a bargain the APO-Lanthar is? The Pentax is better for UV and IR photography. Just don't use a filter.
