I've always been happy with the results from my Apotar. If only the bellows and shutter on my Isolette III were as good. Still, it looks great on the shelf and, no I'm not fixing it given what I paid for it.

But who is going to put a folder on a tripod and shoot wide open?
i do, all the time,.. well, not excactly wide open to be honest. and if for nothing else, then just to take a brake from the f...ing dslr's

Not sure what's wrong with your shutter, but the bellows from a cheap low end Nettar should fit into an Isolette, and (unlike Agfa bellows) they are more often good than not. It can be a real pain trying to get the bellows out intact though.
