Chicago RRF group

not that I've heard.

Sorry I didn't see your email in that account until just the other day, Matt.

I've been swamped - havn't seen Jeremy around either.

Just wondered. My Leica was in the shop for a long time and I had a busy summer. Should we start planning now for next spring?
Hey, Jeremy, you there? Any one else?

I've been meaning to get together with Ken and there's no day I have free.

However, I will make an effort if there's a meet. :)

I'm around

I'm around

But as usual, first weekends of the month don't work well for me...

Downtown in the evenings should be nice with lights and all...?

This weekend is going to be snow and freezing rain on Saturday, and drizzly gross stuff on Sunday.

Next weekend my Fiancee's parents are in town, so I'll likely be unavailable.

Maybe the weekend of the 15th?

Maybe we should try planning out a month or so. That way we can talk back and forth about a more central location (anyone tired of shooting downtown?) to Ken and Solares. Rogue (and Jeremy, too, if you viewing), I could probably be persuaded to pick you up downtown and head out West.
Any ideas for a location out that way Ken/ Solares?

I actually like downtown... In fact, I'll be there this Thursday.

Sorry, cannot meet with anyone then. I'll be there for business. However, weekends (when the train is only $5.00 a day), may do fine. All I need is drive to Elburn, hop in the train and one hour and a half later, there I am! :)

In this weather, shooting won't be a possibility, unless we go to photograph the ice-skaters in Millenium Park. There are nice places nearby, like the Tavern on the Park, or the Irish-looking place (a chain, but who cares) in the corner of Adams and Michigan, right across from the Art Institute.

I expect there will be plenty to shoot with Christmas shopping going on. If it gets too cold, Rogue seems to know some pretty good places to warm up!

Last year (two years ago?) I had originally proposed the Chicago-area get-together as a coffee and social event followed by shooting for those that wanted. I still think there's merit in meeting at a B&N or Borders somewhere on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

Pretty busy these days. About to buy my first house and I'm getting ready for my wedding in February, but I would like to try for something in spring. After a few house projects, I'm sure I'll be ready to hit the streets again!

Nothing like house projects to put you in the frame of mind to escape for some coffee, photography, and a beer(for lunch, of course). It'll probably be spring before we get everyone lined up! See ya, then.

Matt, I'll be looking forward to it!
