Do you title your photos?

No.

...And, I feel embarassed for the photographer when I see a nice photograph with some pretentious, pseudo poetic/arty title attached.

Place, person's name (or not), month, year. That's all. Enough said.
 
I hate it when a great photo in the Gallery is something like 'kgd-16753-ascj-1975' and I need to copy type that into my Gallery Picks on Monday. It could sometimes just have easily been 'Margate Beach Early Morning'.
 
I love it when a good title comes to me.
When it doesn't, I use something short and descriptive.

It's also fun sometimes to poke fun at titles in general. My favorite titled work is "Sunset with Porta-Potty."
 
I like photo titles. And for me, it doesn't matter much whether it's a title or a caption. The point is, I like playing with language as much as images. That doesn't mean they all must be titled. I like the interplay between image and title.
