I have a CV M mount adapter. On the box it says 28/90. Does that mean I can not use it with, say, a 35mm LTM lens? Must it be only used with a 28 or 90 MM lens?

I believe that you can use it with any LTM lens but it will only bring up the 28/90 frame lines.

You should have no probs to mount the lens. But you will "tell" your camera that it's a 28/90 and so the camera won't bring the 35mm frame.

If you use it on a camera like the Epson R-D1, which has manual frame selection, it doesn't matter what's marked on the adapter.

What camera do you have? If it's a Bessa or another RF that you manually select the framelines then it doesn't matter.

The frames on the ZI are automatically selected, so for a 35mm optic you'd need to get the proper 35/135 adapter in order to get the right frames in the finder.

Yes I have a ZI. What about for a 21mm? Hmmm, I guess in that case it wouldn't matter because the ZI has no framelines for that anyway.

Just manually select....I use an old Leica 50mm screw to M on my new R2A with my 35, and select the appropriate framelines and it seems to be just fine. I generally think the M mount, as long as it gets your lens on the body, youre good to go!

There are also "generic" adapters that are not coded for framelines. They're less expensive than the coded ones.

I have a Voigtlander 35/135 adapter that I'd love to trade for a 50/75 if anyone wants to trade.
Its in excellent shape, and I may have the box around if you need it.
I've been using tape to hold the frame selector lever on "50" on my M4-P w/ the 35 adapter and a Jupiter 8. Leicas require the correct adapter to pull up the right framelines- Bessas are nice in that you can manually select your framelines.
