C'Mon guys stop being prats. This guy asked a valid question. Thats why we have forums. Being gratuitously rude just turns people off (and make you look bad.) Sorry but a bit of politeness costs nothing and is what makes these forums thrive.

Sorry that's nonsense - ron1945 received (from myself, the first reply) a very valid, link to a good illustrated article for the solution to the infamous Canonet sticky blade problem - and a reason for the 'lack of humour' (I can't see it myself) ie that this topic has been comprehensively covered on loads of occasions previously. And where, more help and material that he'd ever need could, and still can, be easily found - ie searching the forums. Also, with the advice not to attempt the fix, if he was indeed 'hapless' (his word)
I consider it good manners to do a little checking and research in the relevant forums BEFORE asking a 'new' question - it also costs nothing. And is a great a valuable resource.
And as for being 62, new to PC's and 'hopeless and hapless', it's immaterial - he found R.F.F, the correct forum and managed to post ok, so obviously is not that lame ........
But as karl said earlier, unfortunately more and more folk generally are wanting 'spoon fed' and not willing to a bit of legwork themselves :-(
Now - back to the photography?
footnote:
'lack of humour' ? If the article I linked to was read and understood, it would have been quickly realised that it wasn't a 'simple' fix as he required and may involve manufacturing tools to remove the lens element(s) and require at least some manual skills, so not to attempt it if he was 'hapless'. Of course, maybe a smiley would have helped, but do 'newbies' know what they are?
