But you can call me Steve
I made a New Year's resolution some 50 years ago that I have kept. I don't make any more resolutions.
Sell stuff.
Buy a second Nikon Z body.
Take pictures.
Exactly this how I feel about my Leica iif kit.... The L1 is the only camera I will own that can take interchangeable lenses, and I only have one lens for it. That's the goal, anyway.
That is the most original New Year's resolution I have ever read! I would love to see some before & after pictures of of the outhouse/darkroom project.

It's not too late for you to use the Heiland Splitgrade Controller. But all those hours spent printing and especially using up forests of FB paper to end up with one so-so print
Interests and priorities change, and so do notions about what's best.I don't quite get why so many rffers want to get rid of so much gear
I can't speak for anyone else but when I gave away three pretty good cameras in the Christmas giveaway it was because I'd rather see them used than see them sit on my shelf gathering dust. Your mileage will vary.Looks like the camera market will be flooded in 2025.
I don't quite get why so many rffers want to get rid of so much gear (in most cases there is the will, but not the deed, right?). Tuck away the bad conscience and just enjoy your possessions instead! Soon enough those lovely, fascinating machines will be taken out of our hands.
Giving things away for free is in most cases not what the authors above intended. I guess. Btw, I did this, too in the past, even two M- Leicas.I can't speak for anyone else but when I gave away three pretty good cameras in the Christmas giveaway it was because I'd rather see them used than see them sit on my shelf gathering dust. Your mileage will vary.
I have every intention of getting more this coming year - I have my eye on a Pentax K3 forex ... 🥰
Right, but that should result in a one come, one go mentality, but seldom does.Interests and priorities change, and so do notions about what's best.
I can probably agree with writing more poetry even though I'm a really shitty poet!New Year’s resolutions:
Spend more quality time working on my photography blog.
Spend less time doing street photography and more time with my GFX100SII on a tripod doing landscape photography.
My non-photography New Year resolutions are a list of the usual annual lies:
Eat less, drink less alcohol, exercise more, lose weight, get in shape, look better, feel better, run back-to-back marathons, retake the title of the worlds greatest lover, get my blood pressure down, write more poetry… the list goes on.
All the best,
Mike
