Hi again Hybriders !
I'm about to develop my first TRI-X in Ilfosol-S. Does anyone have some "TIPS/TRICKS/TWEAK" settings for scanning TRI-X with Silverfast AI studio (Nikon Coolscan V ED) to get control over the "frain aliasing" ?
Thanks !

I use Silverfast, and scan black and white negatives as 16-bit greyscale positives. I tweak everything pre-scan to get as much info as possible, then do levels post scan in PS before inverting back to a positive image. Works really well for me- I have no problems with grain aliasing or clipping levels. Works with all negatives from 35mm up.

Drew,
I assume you are not using the "HDR" scanning option, as this doesn't allow any pre-scan tweaking? I've always wondered whether there was really any difference in final quality doing it your way or doing the HDR and performing all adjustments in PS.
Any observations?
