a new chapter in the saga of my m8

John:

I am very glad your M8 saga worked out for you. Like the rest of us (in our love-hate relationship with the M8), you can gracefully move from the "hate" stage to the "love" stage.

Based on the support you had from the folks here (who have considerable influence with Leica), I knew things would work out favorably for you.

BTW, that's some fine shooting too.

I am looking forward to some more M8 "pleasantries" coming from you. It feels good, doesn’t it?

Regards, Bill

Is it just me or did you focus that last shot on the man's hair liine rather than his eyes/ face? If so, was that the intention?

May be his Nocton is back focusing a little. That would be normal.

Congrats John. I am happy for you. I like the first crop better also. Maybe try the first crop (butcher with knife) in greyscale??
Beauty school dropout is a great shot!

My M8 should be here in a week or so. Am really looking forward to it!!

Take care,
John

i'm not sure i'd blame the nokton yet as it was a very busy place. focusing wide open was a real, real challenge with everyone moving about so quickly!
i'd blame the operator at this point.

thanx for the cooments john! you will be amazed at the micro details it picks up! so far this one seems to be a fine model! (knock on the wood).
