Flickr is off the air right now, but thanks I like to shoot that way. I have done it for years, now my 'Sunny 16' guesses are as good as my camera meters. But not quite as good as my hand held meter.

Yeah, it seems people have a few rules that are helpful starting points...like f4 1/60 iso 400 for people illuminated by window light, f2.8 1/30 for brightly lit room. These helped me...It's nice to share these tips. Though nothing works as well as a meter and a tripod, I like a light simple kit too and there is a zen quality to using an M2 this way.

It was such a dismal December here in the Northwest that my baseline exposure on Delta 400 was more like "unsunny 5.6" Thanks for the link. I see several of the usual suspects over there.

No, I'm not the administrator. I'm just promoting it because I would like to learn from experience of all those experts out there...It would be wonderful to feel I can leave with my M2 and some film and feel confident that's all I would need. There's something very zen about it.

I see, sure, using a camera meterless is very fun. One thing to be careful of is that your eyes and brain compensates for the lack of light. The camera and film do not.
