now that the ad has been marked sold I can't find it. I wanted to go back to look at the pictures again. Does anyone know how I can find the thread?

Can you tell I'm excited?

I hate when that happens. That's why I also print the ad and save digital copies of the posted images right away. The only thing I think you can do is ask the seller to email the images to you. My vague recollection is that the seller is a regular here on the RFF and will therefore happily send them to you. And congrats once again on buying a great camera.

Yeah but I *know* from past experience that the thread exists somewhere, but you need to have the address of the thread to view it. One thing I'd love to see changed in the software.

I think they're lost and gone forever.

I wish there were a database of these old ads. The information in them can be valuable.

Google sometimes caches the ads from RFF - search for some key words from the ad, plus Range Finder Forum- if it shows up in the google search, click the "cached" link in small text below the link summary - occasionally you'll get lucky.

I don't blame the poster for immidiately deleting the ad - sometimes the "Sold" sign doesn't keep all the tire kickers from emailing you every evening.

I found it in my own browser's history... had my photo budget been twice what it currently is, I might have jumped on it myself ;)

Well, as they say, you learn something new every day. Thanks cosmonot and sorry if I misled you in any way wintoid.

Sorry, OT first,
Ah...Mr. Mifune, your avitar.
Last time I watched his "Miyamoto Musashi" (宮本 武蔵), again, it was a 6-hour plus long, non stop viewing...
"Ginger, or Mary Ann?"

I ask, "Ohtzu or Akemi?"

I just pull out 'Sanjuro' from my collections, I think I'll watch it for a couple of times and postpone my plan to shoot with my spanking new E-410 this weekend..
Cosmonot, Why not a M4-P?

This guy Mifune Toshiro, the best...

Congratulations! That is a beautiful M4 and a very nice price too. You'd be lucky to get one for that on the bay, or at least have to live with a lot of last minute disappointments. This is why I love the RFF classified. Enjoy your new camera!

The items marked sold are not lost. One can find them by searching the seller´s nick from the member list. That´s how i do it, there might be an easier way to do that...

Wintoid, I see from your Flickr site you got a brand new Bessa. Why do we all still want a Leica? ;)
