We're all light!
A package arrived from Hong Kong this afternoon.
An acquaintance had offered to send me what she referred to as a 35mm Holga. I said, "Huh? I'd heard rumors of such a thing existing, but..."
Here's the evidence:
(Hmm...frame counter works, it has a hot shoe, and no discernible light leaks...maybe it's counterfeit.) 😉
It's a kinda-sorta shrunken Holga 120, except for the above comments, plus a shutter release threaded for a cable release (a "B" setting switch is on the camera bottom).
Interesting Stuff:
- Film-wind and shutter (self-charging leaf shutter) are independent of each other in operation, allowing multiple exposures without much effort.
- Shutter speed(s): one (1/100)
- Aperture: f/8, f/11.
- f/8 aperture is circular (Waterhouse-style), permanenfly fixed; f/11 aperture is rectangular, and slides in just behind the f/8 iris when chosen.
- Tripod mount therad, as well as cable-release thread, have metal inserts.
- Film-loading door uses channel-type light-seal system. I'll see how well it works in a day or so.
So...I finally did get my Holga. But, they shrunk it, honey. 🙂
