No help from me on which lens to get, though. I'd go after the 50/1.5 Sonnar. I'm a sucker for Sonnars.
Have fun deciding!
Thank you Brian, I have a final desicion actually
YES! You will love it.
When Cosina has a contest, you can win the 35/1.4!

You can go to the comparison thread - I believe the f2.8 version is more useful, although I've decided to keep them both...

I want minimum missfocus at 1.5, I don`t care what happenes at f/2.8, what kind of optimisation is it? what should I request to zeiss?
Went outside to test some more adjusted Sonnar's! The older ones. I always shim mine to work best wide-open, Baby... (you have to say that)
Roger Hicks did a review of the new 50/1.5 Sonnar here at RFF.

I know how to correct the older lenses: I shim them using a through-the-lens viewer, and always set them wide-open. Seems to work. The viewer is from the 1950's, and has a high-power finder. I'm thinking Zeiss has a better way...

Sorry Rob, I though every top 10 photo was getting lens!
Fuwen! I have no clue! I want to shoot at f/1.5 otherwise I use my planar, which one you suggest?

I dun think I am in a good position to advise. I am quite happy with the ZM 50mm Planar. If I were to get a 50mm Sonnar I will probably go for the f2.8 optimised version as I am not a wide open aperture shooter. But what I really want now probably is a silver Zeiss Ikon body.
But since u will be shooting primarily at f1.5 maybe a Sonnar optimsed for f1.5 is good for u?
