Hello everyone.
Well, I think the days of me guessing with my developing are coming to an end, along with not using wetting agents/hardening agents where appropriate. Time for me to actually measure the time and temperature of the water!
Anyway, I'm about to order myself some Adox 25 and 50, heard it's fantastic stuff. But it needs a hardener, it's very fragile. I've never used one, and from searching it seems everyone suggests one method or another.
Which do you think I should go for, and when should I add it? Does it go in with the fixer, or after? How long extra do I rinse the film for?
Any help would be appreciated.
Take care, A.

The Hypam hardener I have is used as a fixer additive—you add it to the Hypam fixer and fix as usual, but you have to wash for a longer time (I believe on the order of 20 minutes).
I think that Ilford has (or had) a datasheet on their Hypam fixer range on their website, perhaps you could start there?

Thanks, I'll take a look now. 20 minute wash, that sure is long.

I usually use half the hardener indicated for my Sprint Fixer. If you find the films curling too much excess hardener is the cause.
