I was walking past "Cash Converters" and saw this:

It's the EOS 30V, the international name for the EOS Elan 7NE which, AFAIK, is the only film camera Canon ever made with E-TTL II flash control (thus equalling the kind of flash control Nikon had for years).

It was there for AUD$79. Oh, how the mighty are fallen! Given the cr*p flash control on my old EOS 10, and given the price and condition (near perfect) I just couldn't stop myself.

This in a week where I added a totally unnecesary OM-1n to an order from Adorama (for consumables) just because I don't have a full-manual OM and the price was right.

I do not need more cameras :bang: :bang: :bang:

P.S. there's a roll of Delta 400 in there right now, that I probably have a use for over the weekend. So it won't be totally unused, but I can't see it getting much...

That roll will probably still be in there next year at this time. I know. I have cameras like that. ROFL.
If it doesn't get used this weekend, you're probably right. I made sure it was a 24, not a 36...

Oh, and another P.S. - the camera in the photo is what I bought, I already had the lens. That's now worth considerably more than the camera - and its a cheap lens.

be carefull - there is a chance that "a totally unnecesary OM-1n" will render some of your cameras obsolete, OMs are addictive.

They are indeed. This one is going alongside an OM-4T and an OM-20. You shouldn't put temptation in front of someone who's already an addict.

Mike, that's hilarious! probably similar for a lot of us, we just can't help it! I keep buying OM stuff, bidding on a couple of sets now that I don't need! Oh and a 21mm for my M's, and a 75, oh and an M3 and M4 that I don't need. I'm always relieved when I don't win half this stuff!!!! :bang:

I used to use an EOS 30 , probably one of the most advanced film cameras around, but EOS lenses are not cheap, and I succumbed to the pleasures of OM1 and Zuiko primes :D
