I'm seeing all sorts of strange things relating to this camera. The guys at Lomo have started selling it for +/- $200! I don't think they are getting action tho. If it's the kit with the carrying case, the table top tripod and the extra lenses for "tele and wide" I think they are going for +/- $75 - $100 on the Bay

Thanks, Jan. It's not the kit with the tripod, but I thought there might be a premium because of the unique condition.

Im selling one on ebay right now, and have been keeping tabs on the prices. The camera alone should go from anywhere from 25 to 45 dollars. I have been trying to figure out why some go for more, but I can't really say for sure.
GTs and GTNs (the black ones) go for 60-100.

Sometimes people fight like crazy for beaten up daddy and sometimes excellent samples go for nothing. Day of week, hour of day, moon phase, psi factor - anything counts.
On black models some parts are made from plastic instead of metal to simplify process, scratches jump right into eyes - where's point if chrome version takes exactly same pictures ? I know, I know - black body "is less noticeable on street, more suited for unobtrusive shooting"

If black model has "Professional" sticker (and there are such Electros) I guess they cost twice as much as plain black.

btgc, I bet that Lynx 5000 never came in black but it took great pictures.

ully, recently I started to love that lens on 5000....how it draws, and don't miss black body at all. Neither of Lynxes would look better in black, in my opinion.
I think biggest coin is fetched when newcomers enter bidding or someone who feels nostalgia for particular model, wanting to replace lost, damaged or
previously sold piece of gear.

"Flim? You want flim?"
Well, as owner of a GSN and both the GT and the GTN, I have to confess that the black bodies just "do it" for me. They give me pleasure to look at them, while the chrome just looks okay. I think if the camera's only purpose is to take photos, then they're all the same, but if you want an aesthetically pleasing, "sexy" photo gear, then go for what gives you a thrill. I mean a Toyota Corolla will serve the same purpose as a Lexus, right? Even made by the same folks. You makes yer choice and you takes yer chance.

Is it bad to say that I think I like the lens on my Yashica GSN and 5000e better than my 35mm CV lens on my Bessa R? It's true. As far as your question, I would say in such good condition $50 is realistic.

januaryman - I'm OK with concept "camera delivers aesthetical pleasing". If I think well, I can remember that having choice between black and silver Pentax PC35AF P&S, I chose black because it...just looks better in black! and silver would wear down like on most plastic cameras. I like my black psst! SLR. Another cool compact, Konica C35 EF3 (very nice lens in plastic body instead of metal+leatherette on original C35) looks best in any color except black - red, yellow, blue. In that family black flavor looks just boring and works against concept. Maybe I just like alu/chrome on old RF's better. And it's wonderful that there isn't one recipe to go for.
pesphoto: interesting. Would be nice to see side by side same shot from GSN/5000 and CV lens, if you have habit of taking same first (or last) shot on roll!
