OK, here goes, guys: 50/1.4 Japan, Fuji NPZ (rendered B+W in PS), on an M6. Forgive the (shop) scan, I'll have to rescan them.
The first two at 2.5 feet distance:
Tape measure shot (f1.4):
My oldest on her 16th (f1.7):
And at a few meter distance at her birthday dinner (f1.7):
Works, IMHO
Best,
Roland.

Ha Ha Ha!
My reference to "taking care of family" is a Mafia film in which the father informed the date of his 16 year old daughter: "Bring her back by 9pm. I have a shovel and a gun!"
Machine guns are more effective!

One more that shows the quality of the Nikkor nicely. Wide open, forgot the exact distance. Kept the color this time ...

Best,
Roland.

That's a great portrait Roland. There was a thread started a little while back asking how people used their Sonnars. Well, there you go! And the modification really increases the appeal of that lens.
EDIT: You posted the second one before I had even finished commenting on the first!

Very nice. Now where is my dremel?
Beautiful portrait of your daughter, she is lovely.
Six years behind you on that one--- Nikki will be 10 in May.

Nice photos of your daughter Roland.
that Nikkor 50/f1.4 is a great lens, a real classic.
I find it is sharper than the Canon 50/f1.5 fully open and at close focus.
Brian is right, who would ever part with one?

Hi folks- I'm a new proud owner of a 5cm f2 H-C Nippon Kogaku "Tokyo"... needing a little TLC. I managed to clean the haze off the inside of the back element, but the body feels loose and clicks when I focus and change the aperture. I think it might need a lube. Has anyone a link to disassembly guide?
Many thanks

How did you get to the inside of the back element? Mine has a bit of oil residue on it (and plenty of oil on the blades).
Taking off the retaining ring and removing the mount was easy enough but I don't see an obvious way to remove the rear element.
(Yes, I know its been a few years but I'm hoping someone around knows and figured I'd check here first before starting a new thread)

So answering this, the front block screws off. I discovered this while trying to remove the nameplate, thinking that it was the key to disassembly. It gave me access to the element which needed cleaning.
