How many types of this lens were there?
While researching before buying mine I found four different versions:
- LTM - 1.0 meter close focus stop;
- M3 - 0.65 meter, with goggles;
- M2 - 0.7 meter; and
- Dual Mount - 0.7 meter.
My experience with the lens I just worked on shows that at least some of the parts Leitz used in making them were shared between all four versions.
