is this a good deal for a epson rd-1s ??

Hi All,

I am new here to this forum.
Currently i am a nikon user, but want to buy something small for using on citytrips.
But also something which brings me back to "making pictures" again.
So i don't want to buy a point ans shoot camera.

Now this was offered to me for 1500 euro:
everything like new (bought 6 months ago) exept the minolta lens
camera Epson RD-1s
objectief Voigtlander 15 mm
Voigtlander viewfinder 15 mm en 21mm
Carl Zeiss Planar T 2/50mm
objectief Minolta 28mm F2.8

would that be a good deal ?? I am not familiar with those lenses.
Can you help me out with this question ??

I recently paid the much for the Epson R-D1s body alone on eBay. So, to answer your question, yes, it's a good buy.

It is a good deal, I bought the body alone €1800 in Paris. I paid extra to be sure to have the warranty to cover any potential fault without sending it back to a Japan retailer. Also the local shop will repair the finder and clean the sensor.
Ask if the warranty that is left over can be transmitted to you. I believe Epson charges €300 for any repair out of warranty.

The Zeiss Planar is simply fabulous. The Voigtlander Super Wide Heliar should be too (but I haven't used it myself). I suppose the Minolta is an M-Rokkor 28, which people here have said good things about.

You are getting a very good price by European standards.

I wouldn't call the RD-1 "small", but it is all relative and certainly smaller than your Nikon kit, plus it probably really will "bring you back to making pictures again". Once you have the lenses you might pair them with a really small M-mount film camera, too.

If you compaire it with a d2x with a 28-70 it's even tiny !!!!

Is this a deal where you send Western Union or money transfer or do you know who is selling?

Can you pick up and inspect camera?

Why not google lenses first, learn what you are buying.

Correct price is closer to 1800+ Euro by average used prices in US.

Overall it sounds like a very good deal (perhaps too good?) and all the lenses are very good, but if the 28mm Minolta is the M-Rokkor watch out for the very common defective lens element edge coating, showing up as white spots at edge of the glass. Minolta did retify this problem at one time for zero or minimum cost, but of course they are no longer in business.

Its not a deal breaker though as unless bad it should have minimal effect on the final image.

No it is not fraud.
I already have tried the camera and the lenses. He bought it 6 months ago. saw the receipt on his name.
Just gave him a call that we have a deal.

Why not googeled ? ofcourse i did that before. Doing that i found this forum.
I personally don't "trust"reviews.
I prefer the opnions of actual users.

I just gave him a phonecall that we have a deal.🙂
I will have a look when i pick it up tomorrow. because that was the lens which he didn't bought new. BUT he bought that one used from a photographer i know. I will give him a call
I assume it's on the frontlens ??

Great that this good deal checks out.

You will see the spots between the elements of the lens towards the edges, but if it is there just try the lens out. If the results are acceptable to you then thats fine.

15 mm = 200 Euros min.
viewfinder 15 mm ) 130 Euros min.

Carl Zeiss Planar T 2/50mm I don't know the price but very expensive!

Minolta 28mm F2.8 ) 200 Euros min.

It's a very good deal because it's not expensive and You've got 3 basic lenses (wide, medium and tele)
