There is an old 'barndoor' hood made for the Summicron (and Summitar), but I don't know of any for the Summilux.
BTW, the 'barndoor' hoods, while quite effective, are rather large and bulky when on the lens even when collapsed, and are generally a pain unless you're willing to remove them and put them on again often.

I always wanted to try one of the square Camcorder 43mm hoods that you can find in loads on ebay (for example 170226907081). For another 43mm filter-threaded RF lens. Never got to it though.

hey that looks promising, only thing that concerns me is the mounting screw... might dig into a pricey filter. joined your m-mount group by the way.

I seem to recall that there was a thread here or Photo.net that showed how to use a 35 or 50mm Summicron rectangular hood for that purpose. Do a Search

I would imagine that one of those square digicam hoods in the auction would obscure the finder significantly on a .72 or greater finder.
