Hello all,

Another M2 question - I've tried searching the forum for this, but haven't found an answer that covers it specifically:

I've noticed that on the slower speeds, I still hear some gear/spring movement (sounds like the self-timer winding) for a brief moment after the second shutter closes. So it comes out something like: "click-rrrrrrrr-click-rr". (Very precise description, I know...)

Is this normal, or should I be concerned?

Same with my M4-2 too. Asort of buzzing clockwork sound trailing off briefly after the click of the click of the second curtain closing.

Yes son, you're normal. They all look err, sound like that. :D

(excepting the M7, blessed quiet there, and the M8, confounding cement truck there)

I love the noises my M2 makes. It purrs, whirrs, clicks, clunks, clucks, ting-ting-tins, snicks, and shucks. It seems like a little metal pet in my hands.

It purrs, whirrs, clicks, clunks, clucks, ting-ting-tins, snicks, and shucks - all but sucks - and that what is important...:D

Don't listen to all the above... it's broken... sell it to me for $200.00... ;)

Really, it's fine.... when I first held an M at my local camera store, I thought I'd broken it!
