Hi, I am considereing to buy a 21mm external view finder for my Bessa R2. I found a Ricoh GV-1 (For GR) external finder 21/28 and I want to know if I can use it.

yes, you can, it has both 21 and 28 framelines, it is probably a Cosina 21mm viewfinder, with 28 added.

Would the aspect ratio be a bit off? One is for 2:3 ratio, whilst the GV1 is for the standard digital P&S 3:4 ratio ?
I too have one and am considering this "cheapo" option as most VFs are visual guides only anyway. Is this a wrong assummption?
If it works, it would be useful for both film and the digital R-D1 (I am thinking about the CV 15mm for the R-D1 and the CV 21mm for FF film Ms).
