Hi Folks,
I purchased a Mamiya 6 a few months ago and have had a series of problems, partly, I think, because the repairman who's been working on it doesn't know the camera. Everytime he sends it back to me there is something new that doesn't work!
Anyway, the latest problem is after he sent it back to me not only was there a screw rattling around inside but I couldn't get the lens off. After a little bit of wiggling the lens lock finally opened. Inside though it looks like a flange or light seal has come loose between the lens mount and bellows.
Fed up, I sent the camera to Mamiya, who sent it back saying it wasn't worth repairing. What that means, I don't know. The rest of the camera works fine.
So I'm looking for an expert camera repairman who knows and loves the Mamiya 6 and might even have a few parts bodies lying around. I'd appreciate any leads.

What are we going to do when these old German technicians are gone? They are all over the world, and they don't make them any more. We lost one (in Australia) a year or two ago who did Rolleis (Jürgen Henning).

Thanks Paul. Fred at ICT has been in ill health lately, so I'd like to go elsewhere.
Anyone else have a suggestion?

I don't know if they deal with Mamiya RFs specifically, but LeZot Camera Repair in Vermont has done some good work for me in the past: http://www.lezot.com/servlet/StoreFront

I have used BDC camera repair for all sorts of things, they are friendly over the phone and will be straight with you. Call them up and see what they say.

I am nowhere near them, I just mail them the equipment.
Another one to try would be Essex Camera Repair (google them)
