Morning all!!!

I have a brand-new Y-Strap which doesn't fit me, I've since ordered another made extra-long, but what to do with the first one?

Feeling generous this weekend, I've decided to give it away to a deserving RFF member. Post your pic(s), and in 3 days I'll choose the photo I like the best and send the Y-Strap to the lucky winner.

Photo subject / contest theme... Piano(s)

Timeframe - let's say it will end Friday 15th, I'll announce + PM the winner to get their address on Saturday.

Restrictions - none. Open to all, from anywhere in the world. Airmail postage (my treat) from Sydney to the winner.

The catch - this is a completely subjective contest, whichever photo I prefer, that's the winner.

Good luck to all!
Fergus.

For more info on the prize, see this link. I have no connection, just think it's a great product. http://figitalrevolution.com/y-strap/

Attached is a really bad not-focused digi-snap of the actual strap that's up for grabs.

Great way to give something away for someone who could use it more. It's gestures like this that make RFF my favorite online photo community.

I'm surprised there are no pics posted yet, so I'll give it a shot. I've been thinking about trying out the Y strap for a while now, so this seems like a great opportunity! :)

My photo: I had to dig deep in my archives to find a piano, so this one is from October 1981. I was fourteen and secretly in love with this beautiful girl...

Unfortunately not a rangefinder shot (although I sometimes borrowed my dad's Yashica Minister at the time) but a Minolta XG2, Rokkor 50/1.7, Ilford HP5 @ 1600ASA, Microphen 11 min, all according to the negative sleeve.

(I didn't manage to insert the image into the post, so an attachment will have to do...)

Dang....When I saw this was first posted 5 days ago and the OP called for pictures within 3 days, I was bummed I missed it. Now I better see if I can find a photo that fits the criteria. Perhaps I can make enough time to take a new picture, develop the film and get the shot scanned? hmmm....

This is in a small rural church in Pulaski County, Indiana.

Wow, nothing for a few days and now all these pics in the last 20-odd hours!

3am here, off to bed... will pick the winner when I wake up.

Any last-minute entries???

Several photos were tempting... and the winner is Paul (pphuang), congratulations! :)

Thank you to all who entered.

Pauls' photo is cute. Is that your daughter Paul? I like Yanidel's cat too. I think cats are cool animals. Mine would never play a piano though. Too much like work, and would take precious time from eating & sleeping.

I liked the cat photo too... mine walks along the piano keys, sounds terrible when she does!

One reason I chose Paul's shot is because I have a weakness for grand pianos. If anyone has a spare 9' concert grand they'd like to give away, let me know!! :)

Well NOW I see this thread :) Do you guys like these things? It looks great for me.. I always have my neck strap attached to one lug and sling it over my shoulder. I may order one if you guys thing they're worthwhile.

Nice shots by the way! Christopher's was my fav, but they're all nice. That tilted picture above the piano is great!

I made my own strap similar to the Y-Strap a long time ago, I love it for my OM-4. I wouldn't hang something heavy from it like a Nikon F4, but for small rangefinders or SLRs like the Olympus OM's it is great and really does make it easy to lift the camera to the eye without the strap binding. If I can find some money I want to buy a couple of the real ones, which are better made then mine.

Thanks for the compliment. That's DaVinci's last supper over the piano! That little church surrounded by cornfields in the middle of nowhere had less than 20 members! The preacher was one of the farmers nearby who did it because he enjoyed preaching, he wasn't ordained.

Here's the outside of the place.

There was an outhouse behind the church. No longer used, I hope. The door had fallen off.
