Just In Case We Are Swallowed..., by the Black Hole to be created in a few hours in Switzerland.....

DON'T FORGET TO TAKE YOUR CAMERA !

In the next hours I will be killing time thinking which of them I will take. Since we are talking about a dark black hole, most of the chances I will wrap my neck with a Lynx 14 and its glorious f/1.4 lens. ("One camera - one lens", that's the trend, right ?)

And what the heck will we doing with the exposed film ? Who knows, perhaps we fall into a more technically advanced and civilized planet where film rules.

Good Night

Ruben

I'm going to take my corroded M4 that I dropped in the water at the beach years ago. In an alternate universe, it might be pristine again!

Either Marx or Engels defined SCIENCE as the development of ERROR - each time becoming less absurd. And Lenin added that THE TRUTH is always concrete.

Well folks, the 'FSU'.....

On the other hand, Japan too suffered from a scientific experimentation.

Cheers

What are you talking about?

I think we got a few more days Ruben, don't think they're going to collide the two beams for a while yet. Guess I had better get busy and start shooting some of that Tri-X I've got in the fridge. ;-)

Are there any fans of the TV series LEXX here?

A number of episodes deals with the worry that the earth will be collapsed to the size of a pea when scientists measure the mass of the Higgs boson... http://video.aol.com/video-detail/lexx-higgs-boson/1153780870

Ohh.... I better load up my FED!!! Is there a better way to go? And just when my subscription to Scientific America ended! &*%^!!!!

Well, if it happens, there goes my credit card debt.

I'll wait until Thursday before sending the check. ;)

One of the nice things within the great disgrace, where we all are blown away, is that GAS will still exist.

It's already happened. That's why you're reading white letters on a black background.

You think it's normal but you have all already been sucked into the dark alternate universe.

Think hard. A few seconds ago this forum was white with black type.

The Large Hadron Collider is all set to go online for the first time at CERN tomorrow. It's a 17 mile long loop, 300' below the surface, with insanely large superconducting magnets spaced out around it. The idea is to accelerate particles (protons) to ridiculous speeds in opposite directions and then slam them into each other - where a detector lies in wait, to see what particles are flung off (e.g. the Higgs Boson).

Some people would have you believe that a black hole will be created and swallow the Earth. ;)

That would be cool. I wouldn't have to go to work the next day.

Quick, someone overnight their IIIG to me so I don't have to zone focus the whole trip!

Seriously, does this mean I have to shoot slide film so I can get a decent negative or do I just pack a projector and hope for the best?

See you on the other side...

I don't believe any of it, but (Okum's razor or someone like that said hedge your bets) I will follow pevelg, load the cameras and take my music and one of my guitars.
