Would'nt it be smart of Leica to launch a limited edition model celebrating & and engraved with the 'Wall Street 2008 Credit Crunch'? Say, a limited series of 50 units? A hundred would be a bit over the top, possibly. Complete with cigar box with humidity meter they should sell for the equaliant of 666 Citigroup shares, or - 2.520 AIG shares. That's cheap, when you think of it. Get's cheaper hour by hour, really. Not many Leica items do that.

Could we have it in black & rattlesnake skin? Or belt buckle shiny with Texas Long Horn leather? Which plays Star-Spangled Banner when hitting the play button. Or reads ex. CEO of Goldman & Sachs, now Secretary of Finance Hank Paulson's last words before the House Banking Committee; ' this plan got to work..!' Would be quite a collector's item, he?
 
Sorry to burst your bubble Olsen but the housing problem that led to this fiasco was the Democrats under Clinton that led to this crap. Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, A Clinton croonie named Franklin Raines who swindled Fannie Mae out of millions. Bill OReilly blistered Barney Frank last night for his lies telling the people that Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac were ok. Don't worry Olsen Europe will probably get it's wish and Americans will vote in the meissiah Barak Obama & the USA will become a complete socialist country like yours.

Please tell me gb that you are not naive enough to think that one 'side' is solely responsible for this. Do you get information about how things work from someplace other than Fox news? It's worth becoming more informed on this.

Olsen, we need a mock-up for this model to be real. 🙂

As for Barney Frank, I've found him to be a good bright friendly conversationalist as well as a dynamic public speaker, a typical liberal New Englander. Best of all, Sarah, he won't try to get your teenage daughter pregnant.

The crisis we face now (both you and us) is far - far beond any party politics. It's a system failure. With the public debt you are accumulating you will never afford to build up a 'socialistic' wellfare state (for all, not just the rich). It will cost you an additional 30% on top of the 30% tax you are going to pay now. Forget it. Indebting a nation is a way of getting rid of, or prohibit the creation of, a wellfare state; check out Argentina and Israel etc.

Anyway; what will a Luftwaffe Leica be compared to Credit Crunch'er..he?

Absolutely. That's why it is important to see to that the politicians make annual budgets that are in balance. Unless most of the taxes will go to paying interest on old debt. Instead of wellfare programs.

I sure as heck don't get my info from MSNBC (unless Pat Buchannon is speaking), CNN or NBC. If you can name a Republican I would like to know. I'm not a Rep, I'm a Independent & voted for Ron Paul. It's a fact that Franklin Raines took $99,000,000 while at Fannie Mae. Barney Franks boy friend at the time worked for Freddie Mac and took millions. Franklin Reins is Obamas economic advisor. There needs to be investigations on this. Chris Dodd, Barak Obama were given hundreds of thousands through Acorn. Even John McCain was given a sum of money. In 2005 Franks & other Dems. lied stating the housing markerts were ok They lied to the American people. I get my info from other sources than Fox, but when they are right there right. Do your research.
