Rewind button? It's a mechanical switch on my Robot Star, but it is indeed on the top plate, not the bottom.

Just got a Robot III camera, similar to Royal 24, but using "N" Cassette. I don't know the functions of all knobs, buttons. Is there any instruction on internet for how to use this camera?

Press it to reset the frame counter using the knurled wheel...

Thanks, all. I am now loading a film into the camera for trial shot. I would be back and tell the result later. (I have no scanner, I would develop and enlarge my photo in kitchen. )

Those Robot Royals are such nice looking camera's! Perhaps I should buy myself one as a late birthday present

After trying my first roll of "Era 100" (Made in China) in Robot III and developed in D76 (1:1) for 11 minutes, the outcome is totally disappointing: the film is almost all blank, it seems more likely that it is underdeveloped than underexposed(Era tag is not shown on the film). The instruction on Era says "Development in D76 for 6~10 minutes", What a Chinese product!
Anyway, I tried enlarging one shallow film (self-portait) with my leitz focomat and Era 2# paper(Also made in China) , the result is satisfactory. It gives me a comfort and let me enjoy this toy camera (Winding the spring like a clock, 55 square shots on a film).
Since I have no scanner at present, I couldn't let all of you share my happiness. And most of all, digital couldn't give you the delicate feeling of developed paper. That's why I start to setup my darkroom in the kitchen. The only unhappiness is that Chinese made B&W films and papers are not cheaper any more and also not easy to find in the market.

Whatever
Robots are awesome cameras. I have a Robot Royal III (24), a Robot Star and a Robot Royal 36. They are built like a tank and are constructed of stainless steel. The only issue I have in my neck of the woods is that many photo labs aren't able to print them because the machines get confused with the format shape. There is one lab here that will do it, but it becomes a custom print job and gets pretty pricey. Better that you develop and print your own stuff at home.
I'm selling my Robot Star on eBay now if anyone's interested....

The 40/1.9 lens is a good performer. Just bought a 2nd hand cannon scanner, here is my trial shot with Rollei R3 film: http://www.fotop.net/ericzhu/Rollei_R3

I suppose you already got the answer on that small knob. When pushing you release the frame numbers counter, which you can adjust then with the small cog wheel on the back of the camera.
Attached a copy of the Robot Royal users guide.
I have myself a Robot Royal III 36, a Robot IIa and a Robot II Luftwaffe Eigentum, with one Tessar and several Schneider Lenses, 30, 40 and 75.
All camera's are performing well. Of course I have my own film scanner.
