There's a famous Chinese song called "One Night in Beijing". That's where the title of this thread derives from.

Last week I was on a business trip to Beijing. My girlfriend went with me and took all my film cameras with her, since she got all the time for shooting. I was left with the R-D1s + Noctilux.
Pretty much enough.

I used to carry many lenses with me, worrying that I might miss some shots if I didn't bring some lens.
Later I tried carry one cam + one lens out. And I found myself more focused.
During this business trip, I actually didn't have too much time taking pictures. One-cam-one-lens was perfect.
This trip was quite exhausting. Yet when I browsed through these photos, all those happy memories of those casual moments came back to me. There's one shot of my girlfriend that I love very very much, probably among the top five of all the photos I ever took for her. I'm just happy that I brought a camera, be it an R-D1s or anything else.

I see the Eva Air logo at the Beijing airport drop off. Are there direct flight now? But you went via HK? I love the Hutongs. It was much bigger about ten years ago. Did you visit the Summer Palace and all that? You can burn a lot of film there.

There are some direct flights between Taiwan cities and Mainland China's, but the numbers are limited and we did not catch it, due to the golden-week vacation from 10/1.
This was a business trip, so I didn't go to too many places. My girlfriend and I went to Beijing three years ago on ourselves, so we took a lot of photos back then. Unfortunately - VERY unfortunately - the only camera we had at that time was a $ony T1....
