Film RF M Mount or a digital RF M mount, both full frame. Both look exactly the same. Which would you choose?

FIlm. I like the process and end results better. But I don't really care what anyone else wants to use.

Neither. I want a M4/3s digital range finder body with a set of primes with manual focus and control through two dials (one ss, the other fstop).
But if I had to pick, give me a film as vignetting is not an issue.

Film for me. I have more freedom to shoot at higher ISO's than you can with a digital. I can't name a digital camera that can give me what Delta 3200 can. I also have the option to shoot infrared. I still have several rolls of HIE. Plus a film version will be around when the digital version is obsolete or inoperatable. Mostly...I just like film.

The only thing that matters is the emotional response that the print creates in the viewer's mind.
All the steps that precede that are insignificant.
35mm? MF? digital? b&w vs. color? Who cares how you got there, it is only where you end up that counts.

Oooh, sorry Ralph. The question is "What is a question that's been asked ad nauseum on the photography internets?"

sorry guys, rough week at work and just being a bit of a smart ass tonight.
having the sony a300 has turned a screw in my thinking. with it, i am having fun taking photos again. the camera is not nearly as nice as the zi and the lenses are not nearly as beautiful as the zm lenses and for some some strange reason i don't care and things seem more enjoyable.

So we can conclude that digital is for those who no longer care.

Decent question, my answer is I have many full film (FF) RFs, so I would buy a FF digital RF. But from what I know now about DSLRs, and I didn't have digital cameras (or FF film camera), I would buy both.

If this imaginary digital FF RF has no (or very minimal... no more than a ZI with film for example) vignetting, performance, or reliability problems it would be an easy choice.

Now, Bob, this witty inference made me chuckle ;P
