Anyone who has a UC Hexanon 35/2: What are the markings on the bottom of the leather lens pouch/case? How about posting a picture of the case? (The case that came with my copy seems pretty roomy for such a small lens, and I'm wondering if it's the right item.)

Thanks, I guess I have the right on then. (You'd think they'd have gone to the extra effort to include a better-matched case in an otherwise superbly finished package.)

There's a separate pouch for the hood.
And it would seem strange to me to put a lens away in the case with a vented hood deployed and no cap.

Valdemar must be right, I was robbed blind! I'll deed him the lens in my will and proceed to kill myself. :)

Edit: Caps and hood will go to my dearly beloved family, though.

I always used to leave the hood on and store in the "over size" pouch, until I realised that you don't need the hood as the lens rarely flares (I do have a filter on to protect the front element).

If you want a small hood for protection the CV 43mm hood that is sold separately from CV lenses is excellent. I have about four of them and I use them on my 50mm Summilux lenses as well.

Sonnar2: Mine came with the same pouch, but it seemed too big for the lens. My question about it was prompted by seeing a post from someone who bought a Hexanon-M 50/1.2 from the same source as I got my UC-Hex 35/2 -- and he complained that the seller had not included the factory lens pouch in the box. That got me thinking that, since mine was too big for my lens, maybe I'd ended up with his pouch by mistake. But it seems not. A hard case would be nice -- I've got a couple of small vintage hard cases on the way, maybe one will fit.

Peter: Yes, I got the CV 43mm hood w/cap from CameraQuest, and I use it on my UC Hexanon. Works very nicely, and is much more compact. :)
