I got this cute camera from a frend...how sharp is the ROKKOR 1.8 lens? compering ...lets say to a LEICA lenses...😀..just kiding, just wont ti know is it worth getting fixed.
thank u all!
This camera isn't "cute"...it's downright impressive and I think you're going to be surprised at just how good it is. Read up on its features and capabilities and you'll see how well engineered a camera it is. The lens is awesome, and will quite likely make you want to dive into the world of Minolta RFs. I got mine on a whim, but now it rides in my camera bag most days with my "serious" gear because I'm so impressed with it.

Quite sharp. It has almost exactly the same specs as the Canonet GIII QL-17, which is a fairly impressive piece of equipment. It is easier to get a 7S running too. I think you are really going to like that camera.
The most common problem with the 7S is that the self-timer will jam the whole camera solid if it sticks. Since old cameras that have not been CLAd in decades tend to have sticky self-timers, don't use the aforementioned self-timer until you have had it professionally cleaned and lubed.
I rather like the size too, in spite of my love of compact bodies. I think this camera is incredibly underrated as it's a stunning performer with great features, but then I think a number of Minoltas are underrated.
