my new Panasonic LX3 sort of rocks!

Two from the Apple Cup, it'll do wide:

Fog doesn't seem to bother it:

and black and white is it's friend:

Man, I'm loving this camera. I need to set up "My Film" to get the colors I like.

Thanks everyone, my only complaint is I sometimes get weird colors using auto white balance. I have an ExpoDisk and I'm going to use it next time to do a custom WB.

i, too have the GX100 and find it a great little cam. but as for its reasonably high MP rating, it seems very limited as to how large you can take an image before it begins to degrade. but for a backup camera i like it a lot. and great in the glove box. right now my lady freind keeps it in her bag for her own whims.

nice photos. glad to see there is no noticeable barrel distortion which seems to be biggest complaint in reviews.

The barrel distortion is visible in RAW files processed by 3rd party software. Camera firmware is automatically fixing this distortion, so is the bundled software.

I had the GX100 but didn´t like the noisy pictures it produces already at ISO 200. I´m pretty satisfied with the LX3, which presently is probably the class leading pocketable small sensor camera as far as overall IQ is concerned, but wished it had the GX form factor and UI.
Yet, iF IQ matters most, the DP1 is still in a class of its own among the pockatable ones, by a considerable margin.
A pocketable with the Ricoh form factor and UI, Canon G10 versatlity, longer LX3 lens (f2.0, 24-90mm), and DP1 IQ is what I´m still hoping for.

Love the B&W photo. Did you need to do any post on that or is it all in-camera settings (well, that and good light)?
