I seem to remember seeing a Fujinon on ebay some tme ago and posting a thread on it. I did so as I am a big fan of the SLR M42 screw mount Fujinon lenses, and had never heard of ltm lenses.

I think you have a real catch there. Fujinon lenses are much under rated.

Yes, oftheherd, it's truly under-rated. Before, I bought this lens, I've never heard of Fujinon ltm. It was a shop in Hong Kong that recommended & told me I should get it. I tested on my M8 & was awed by the sharpness & the draw of the lens that I bought it immediatedly.

"In his book Leica Copies, HPR states that Fujinon L 50mm F 2.8 was one of the standard lenses that was sold with Leotax models TV, T2, and K3 1. This would put the production of this lens somewhere between 1957 and 1959". I guess it would be the same for the f2 version.

I love my Canon f1.5!!!!!

It`s one of the "must have" classic lenses of all time

I also have the other "sonnar" clone in LTM - the f1.4 SC 50mm Nikkor, both the "early" 5005 "Tokyo" series and the later "Japan" one, both with different Bokeh`s
(I actually prefer the 5005 "Tokyo" version better) - I`ll be posting some comparision shots with all three lenses as soon as the "Tokyo" lens is back from Repairs.....

Tooffy, I've mentioned to you about the Fujinon 50mm f1.2 on a few occasions. There is also a 100mm f2 version.

They have the Fujinon 50mmf1.2 too. Too much to pay for its performance at f1.2.
The 100mmf2.0 is very good too.

i just picked up (by accident) a 1.5 @ebay 2 days ago, with a (not pictured in add) round vented hood . i stand at the box waiting for the Postman every morning in anticipation of a clean working Canon 50/1.5 lens.
i hope it's worth the all the hype, else i am out 30 bucks
