Do you also have a lot of cameragear somewhere stuffed at one or more bookshelfs like me? I am curious, so show it to us. In order to test a summaron 35mm I made this "panorama" picture of one of my bookshelfs currently stuffed with Leitz and some other gear.

No matter the budget, I like it, and am also a fan of André Kertész! I especially like your ARGUS, being one of the more 'stranger' rangefinder cameras.

Thanks, found the Argus in a thrift shop. Ive yet to try it out but it seems in working order. Maybe I'll take it for a spin this week. Those Kertesz books are really neat. You can find them on ebay and amazon, etc for $5 or less.

i had something similar, until a burglary when they took all off that shelf except the books of course.
Never again.

IM sorry to hear that. People are awful!

Well, I suppose if anyone can get past my 95 lb Black lab that hates strangers and make their way to my basement and back out past the big mutt, than they deserve to have them. Good luck to them if they try......;)

oh man, I remember this photo. We need an updated one now .

My cameras are spread across two states at the moment - half in NC, half here in MI. A group photo will have to wait until I manage to get our house sold in NC and my wife and I together in one place again.

IS that a Lynx 14e I see in there?

Jes. I have two 14's and a 14e. Just to make sure I got a good one.

Actually, it was because people kept listing them on eBay as Lynx IC, and no one was bidding on them. For five bucks, I felt it was a moral imperative.

I hope that occurs for you soon. That must be difficult for you guys.

 $5.....?

....rushes off to ebay!!

Sorry, the floor serves as bookshelf. This is part of my collection a couple of years back. I'll have to make a new family portrait one of these days when also the M6 has arrived ;)

Ouch Pherdinand, that hurts! My son was burglarized twice recently. I can feel your pain.

Not a big black Lab, but a nervous Dutch Shepherd guards my cameras.

Yo! Two states! that's the biggest pile of gear i've ever heard of!

My home and family are in NC, and I live and work in MI, some 800 miles away. Modern life - you go where the work is. If we could sell the house in NC, all would be together again - home, hearth, family, dogs, cats, and even cameras. As it is, we talk on the phone ever night and I get home a couple times a year. It's not fun, but we get through it.

that is tough. Is it a tough housing market in NC? Silly question, it's tough everywhere.

Depends on where you are in NC. We're in a small town of about 50,000 on the Eastern Coastal Plains, an hour's drive from Raleigh. I get a lot of comments from people who don't know any better, "Gee, you ought to be able to sell that house, no problem!" I guess they're trying to express sympathy.

EDIT: I should say, it would not be tough to sell if we could knock 20% off the asking price, but we cannot afford to do that. If selling the house involves bringing money to the close, it's not going to happen, we just haven't got that kind of scratch.
