Hello -- Anyone out there own an Ikoflex 'Coffee Can'? I'm thinking of adding one to my growing arsenal of 1930's Zeiss cameras (my Contaflex TLR is getting lonely too), and was wondering how folks like them, how they are to shoot with, etc etc.

Thanks!

I hadn't heard of one called that so I googled it. Looks like an interesting camera for sure. My googling also led to a 35mm TLR with interchangable lenses from the 30's. Who knew?

You might want to poke round the Ikoflex group on Flickr and see if anyone has useda very early one. I recall reading that the Ikoflex had a whole series of "gotchas" built into it so that it would not do x unless you did, p, q, and w as well as y. However I can't remember if that was a specific model and as I've never used one I can't vouch for the accuracy.

On the other hand, it would be a great-looking paperweight!

Can't be any more tricky than my Contaflex TLR????

Thanks for the info. I have a bid on one on eBay, so we'll see what happens.

My hope is to travel to Austria later this year (money permitting!) with the Contaflex TLR and the coffee can in tow. Should be fun!
