Zorki, What's that screw for?

While I had my Zorki 2c open I noticed a screw and I'm not sure why it's there. It's in one of the threads which I have inidicated on the attached picture [note the picture attached is actually a Zorki I but as I don't have a similar picture to hand I 'borrowed' it from somewhere else on the web]

Any ideas?

Not sure what you mean... those are 2 of the screws that attach the body shell. It's their only function as far as I know.
 
wow, now that's weird :)

Are you sure it's comming from the other side? Maybe the cap is broken and it just looks like it's in the wrong way...

And what about the camera closed? I guess you only have 3 screws in the front then, that's not good... Anyway if you could post a photo of your camera that would help :)
 
I think that its purpose is to form a projection to hold the film cassette in the tight position and stop it from wobbling sideways in the film chamber.
 
That sounds like it's the answer. I've attached a picture just for clarification.
