Is Color-Skopar Pan 35mm f/2.5 a good lens ?

Yeah, even though I got my 'cron very very cheap, sometimes I keep thinking I could save a lot of money if I settled for one of these Skopars... But the cron is very sharp and nice. I used to shoot a Ultron and I think the cron is clearly sharper.

Used it today, out skiing. Really irritating that it falls apart with vibrations! It is NOT easy to tighten it out in the snow... Also the aperture ring is too loose, changing settings when lying in my pocket...

Apart from that it is as good as the other CVs, I would just give it an extra check if buying second hand. I guess I will get it locked with superglue or something one of these days, as it is just perfect for a day out with minimum equipment!

The pancake 35f2.5 II is pretty close to a version IV Summicron 35f2. I have not done a "scientific" test between them - but on a light table I am damned if I can see which is shot with what - at least in bl/w. It is tiny and if you have large fingers, yes, the aperture ring and focus can be a bit tricky to get to comfortably.
It is a very comfortable lens on something like a M2 for "pockets" or just a walk around lens.
As stated, check on Flickr for samples of it's performance and compare with the various 35f2 Summicron's.

I like it particularly with a mid-contrast film like XP2 Super or Delta 400. Holds shadow detail amazingly well.

It is a very good lens and extremely compact when you remove the hood. Some of my pics from the pancake M-mount version (which I'm currently selling BTW)
