I've been under a lot of pressure since this is my final year of undergraduate studies and the work has been piling up.
I unwind by hitting the streets with my M6 and Ikon. (Perhaps i've been unwinding a tad too much, which explains why my essays are still largely in a conceptual rut!)
Here are some of the shots over the course of a few weeks.
Color film - Ektachrome
B&W - Tri-X in HC-110 dil.B
Thanks for looking!

Great stuff. The shot of the dog makes me smile.
Shot number 6 looks like something out of Close Encounters, and shot number 7 is simply outstanding. Excellent work.

Thanks Rick! Number 7 is one of my personal faves so far.

Nice work! I like No. 5 too -- seems to capture a mood of despair.

I don't like 1/2, 3/8 are strangely appealing, 4/5/6 are _great, I probably told you before I like 5 a lot. I like 7, too, but don't find it to be the best of the bunch.
Oddly few responses I think, considering the quality.

Martin, thanks for the honesty. I think the color slides have some sort of an odd quality about them, i can't quite put a finger on what it is.
An air of surreality perhaps?

1, 2 and 6 all need more exposure.
4 (the xpro one) is eye-catching.

For the underexposed pictures i think i had to shoot at a certain shutter speed ( i was using tri-x at 800 with the lens wide open at 1.4). Most of them were around 1/30 and i think one was at 1/15. The lighting was rather poor which could perhaps why it appears under.
Maybe i should attempt to use higher ISO film in the future for better exposure in such lighting.

Yes, photography is an art, and it is also a science.
We need to understand both sides.
ISO800 f1.4 1/15 is pretty much the limit.
Well done for getting anything usable.
I'd stick with that film and exposure, but try to avoid backlighting if possible.

An afterthought:
After I saw these photos I walked to the covered market.
And passed by some dog **** on the sidewalk.
I thought of your dog photo, the xpro one.
It reminded me of an Elliot Erwitt photo. Not a copy, but a resonance.
And then I got back and saw your Elliot Erwitt quote in your signature.

This made me chuckle alittle.
Thank goodness you managed to avoid the doggy mess.
