It depends what you call a "new model". This can be very soon, if you call an anniversary or whatever special version a new model.

We aren't trying to give you a hard time but the question of a new model gets more than enough play on any camera forum. As soon as a new model comes out the question on everyone's lips is, "When is the new model coming out?" Companies like Canon can bring a new model out almost yearly. Leica probably takes a bit longer. As Tom said, a new version can come out any time. A new model takes a longer time. My guess is that the M8.2 will be around a while.
