Let's see what those J-3's can do wide-open, or close to it.

1953 J-3 Wide-Open on the Canon 7.

Well, my grandma wouldn't be happy for publishing so casual photo but it's 1951 Jupiter-3 in Kiev mount, f:1.5 and minimal distance.. Only small unsharpen mask after rescaling..

Very nice shot !;) But where did you find this Old Ford tri-motor Aircraft ? In a barn ?

I wish I were that resourceful. It's an exhibit at the Bushplane Heritage Centre in Sault Ste Marie, Canada. This Buhl CA-6 is an old bush wreck that was reassembled piece-by-piece in the museum.

All of these really showcase what a J-3 can do!

Including a Cat with a Pancake on their head! Move over, Bunny....:)

Impressive stuff here. I too have a J-3, and it has surprised me with the quality of its results. There are a couple of examples in my RFF gallery.

Another J-3 shot at f 2.0 taken a couple of years later.
