I'll be signing up for zenfolio membership. If anyone has a zenfolio referral code, please post it here. I'll use the first valid code posted as a response.

I know I can google it, but this way helps out an rff member.

Same as smugmug....

The new member gets $5 off the sign up fee, and the current member with the referral code gets $5 off his next renewal.

An RFFer contacted me the other day asking for my referal code and I was glad to oblige ... no one had ever done it before and sure enough I now have $5.00 credit for my next renewal!

I'm a big fan of Zenfolio ... hence the link in my signature! Their premium membership ($100.00 US) even removes the Zenfolio logo from visitor pages and allows you to market and sell from your site in whatever way you like!

rphenning,

I was going to ask Keith the same question. I signed up for Zenfolio last night but so far I'm not too keen on it.

They say you can upload "Full" size images but when I tried to upload a "Full" size tiff at 75Mb the wheel was spinning away for over 3 hours on the site. Eventually I closed it and gave up. For me 24Mb is far too small for a decent size print. My 35mm print ready scan's are about 36Mb and my 6x6 scan's over 100Mb.

I'd like to have mainly a web gallery but want a couple of large files there for printing.

Keith how well do you do on Zenfolio if you don't mind me asking? I have one and haven't moved much off of it.

I'm only using the Premium plan and not the Pro as I'm not trying to sell from the net ... it's just a hosting site for me that doesn't have the cheap look of Flickr or the overly busy appearance of some of the others which is why I like it so much.

I don't think I'd go the $100.00 route ... I'd rather spend the extra money and have a properly designed personal web site if and when I have the need for such! :)

Are you saving your final to 8bit, 300dpi?

Yes, does it matter?

For the Pro package it say's maximum file size 24Mb but then it say's you can save full size originals.

So I'm guessing the Max size for a full size original is 24Mb which is way too small for me to be happy with.

I have the $100 package and I highly recommend it. Although, it's expensive. So, here's my referral code so all of us can get $5 off.

I've always wanted to play around with the color option and I'm patriotic! Now, if only I can find a flag symbol? :bang:
