Hi all,

just saw the latest release by Tori Amos called "Welcome to England". She seems to be a RF fan :) At the end of the vid she's shown in the London Eye taking pictures with a RF (Leica in a leather halfcase?). Good girl! ;-)

The song is absolutely brilliant btw! Can't wait to listen to the rest of the album.

Cheers
Wolfgang

Not my cup of tea musically, but she goes her own direction and that deserves respect in an age of disposable teenybopper music. Good luck to her and I hope she remembered to take the lens cap off :)

Thanks for the link. I liked the song. She's one of the most emotional singer-songwriters.

But the camera looks like a ZI to me. The lens has a silver rim - Zeiss or CV then. Seeing her use the camera gave me a vague feeling it wasn't hers, maybe it belonged to the prop guy or the director of the clip. Good choice though, it suits her style.

Looks like a Voigtlander Bessa

I noticed Tori's use of the rangefinder, as well. It's most likely a newer Voigtlander Bessa camera, an R2A / R2M / R3A / R3M / R4A / R4M. I use an Epson R-D1s, which is also made by Cosina / Voigtlander, so I noticed the similarity in design. The Bessa's are Leica M-mount rangefinders, so the lens Tori is using could be anything, but it appears to be a Voigtlander, as well. They have several current or recent production lenses with the silver rings. However you stack it, a rangefinder suits Tori's style, even if is just a prop.
