Any idea where I can find a cap for the back of my Mamiya 6 50mm lens? It's an odd shape and I've been through boxes and boxes of caps at camera shows looking for something to fit. Any ideas?

thanks,
Vince

It's the same rear cap as any other Mamiya 6 lens - I would imagine that they come up on EBay every once in a while.

Not true! The mount is the same (obviously) but the 50 has an element that sticks out the back. The rear cap for my 100mm lens does not fit the 50.

Hi Vince - are you sure we're talking about the same camera system?

There is no 100mm lens in the Mamiya 6 system (only 50, 75, and 150mm), and I'm quite sure that all three of these lenses take the same rear cap because I own them all and looked at them to double check before writing my response above.

This is correct.

For the Mamiya 7 which has a different size mount (unfortunately), there are two rear cap types: one for wide angle, the other for standard focal lengths.

Thanks for your responses. I should clarify. Yes, it's a Mamiya 6, and yes I have the 150mm. That was a typo above.

I don't have an official Mamiya rear cap for either lens, but I found a flea market cap that fits the 150 pretty well. The 50 has a rocket-nozzle-shaped element at the base which means it would need a pretty deep cap.

I actually emailed Mamiya about this and received no response.

thanks again for your comments.
