It should take the same 39mm filter size that is used on the majority of Leitz lenses for many years. It uses a clip-on hood #12585. Somebody else will have to tell you the exact age.

Nice lens. 1955/1960 period.
I images in a similar manner to to the dual range and rigid Summicrons of that era, ie sharp but not overly contrasty.

If it is growing it sounds more like fungus than haze. Fungus can be cleaned but will grow back over time, particularly in humid or moist environments.
